Ava Starr, also known as Ghost, is a character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). She is portrayed by Hannah John-Kamen in the movie Ant-Man and the Wasp.
Due to a quantum experiment accident involving her parents, Ava suffers from "quantum instability," causing her molecules to become de-synchronized. This gives her the ability to phase through solid objects, but also causes her intense pain and threatens her life.
Trained as a covert operative by S.H.I.E.L.D., Ava becomes a powerful weapon, but her condition deteriorates. She seeks to stabilize her quantum state, putting her in conflict with Ant-Man and the Wasp.
